CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
European Investment Bank Summer School Luxembourg
23.06-05.07.2025
Competition for master students of the University of Bucharest
The EIB Group is composed by the European Investment Bank, and the European Investment Fund. The EIB Group is the biggest multilateral financial institution in the world and one of the largest providers of climate finance. Since 2019, the EIB follows bold ambitions for climate finance to back the European Green Deal and make Europe carbon-neutral.
Every year, the EIB Institute hosts the EIB Summer School with the aim to:
provide Master’s students with first-hand insights about the core activities and responsibilities of the EIB Group;
build and strengthen a network of current and future stakeholders of the EIB Group through its alumni program.
The Summer School addresses an interdisciplinary and international group of MA students from selected partner universities of the EIB Institute.
Participants engage in lectures, group discussions and case studies to gain a deep understanding of the mission and impact of the EIB Group and how it answers current challenges of the EU and beyond.
All courses of the Summer School are delivered by EIB Group staff members who deal with operational, financial, policy, credit, legal and technical challenges on a daily basis. Summer School faculty members show practical approaches to problems which are, by nature, multidisciplinary.
Participants get the unique opportunity to get the faculty’s insider view on what it means to be part of the EIB Group and how staff members apply theoretical concepts to very practical challenges of global impact.
Except for the transport to and from Luxembourg, the participation costs (accommodation, meals) for the selected participants from the University of Bucharest are supported by the EIB.
Four online orientation sessions where staff of the EIB presents the school and answers the questions of potential applicants take place on the following dates (Luxembourg timezone, GMT+2). Interested applicants can participate to any of them.
